EVENT: Steve Yarbrough reading

Fresno MFA professor Steve Yarbrough will read at the River Center on Old Friant Road on Thursday, Oct. 26, as the final installment of this season’s Respite By The River series. The event begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free.

Yarbrough, who is the James and Coke Hallowell Professor of Creative Writing at Fresno State, has been on sabbatical from teaching in the MFA program this semester. He has been working on his yet-untitled fifth novel and touring the country in support of his most recent book, The End of California.

MFA student writer Kristin FitzPatrick interviews Yarbrough this week for a FresnoFamous.com feature article. Click here to read what Yarbrough has to say about writing, teaching, and what it means to him to be a Southern writer.
