Q&A Session: 4:00 – 5:00, PB 194

The San Joaquin Literary Association, a student organization in the MFA Program in Creative Writing, is proud to sponsor a reading by author Eric Blehm. The reading will take place on Friday, April 4 starting at 8:00 p.m. in the Peters Auditorium in the Student Recreation Center at the corner of Shaw and Woodrow. A Q&A session will take place beforehand starting at 4:00 p.m. in PB 194 on the first floor of the Alice Peters Building.

Eric Blehm is the author of The Last Season, an account of the 1996 disappearance of King’s Canyon National Park backcountry ranger Randy Morgenson, which won The National Outdoor Book Award, as well as The Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award for nonfiction. A freelance journalist and former editor of Transworld SNOWboarding, Blehm has written articles for Outside, GQ, Couloir, Men’s Journal, Climbing, Spin, Playboy, San
Diego Union Tribune and the Los Angeles Times, among others. He graduated with honors from San Diego State’s School of Communication in 1994 with a BA in journalism and a minor in outdoor recreation.
